Artist to Artist host Stephanie Sachs was born in New York and received her B.F.A. from Washington University in St. Louis. Moving to Maui in the late 1980's, she was determined to make a living as an artist from early on. She could be seen drawing portraits on Front Street in Lahaina, selling her art under the Banyan Tree, and then showing in a Front Street gallery. Her work has since been accepted into both Art Maui and Hui No'eau juried shows.
Ms. Sachs' art is collected internationally, and she has completed commissions for Peregrine Systems and Abbot Laboratories. Currently, her paintings can be seen at Tommy Bahamas Stores, Tuesday mornings at the Four Seasons in Wailea, and on her website, www.sachsmaui.com. She has been a fixture on the Maui art scene for 19 years, having met, worked with, and been inspired by hundreds of Maui artists. In 2006, in an effort to put Maui's fine artists and dynamic art scene on display for all to see, she partnered with producer Darren Corrao to create Artist to Artist. |
